From Australia, we traveled east to New
Zealand. We started on the South Island before visiting the North Island and then flying back to the United States.
We started off on the South Island. We flew into Christchurch where we spent a couple days and took a day trip to Akaroa Harbor.
From Christchurch we traveled by train via the scenic TranzAlpine track through the Southern Alps to Greymouth and then took a bus
to the Franz Josef Glacier.
We spent a couple days there then coached down to Queenstown where we also visited Milford Sound and the Dart River in the three days we were there.

From there we flew to the North Island.
Our first destination was
Rotorua, which is still an active thermal zone, for two days.
From Rotorua, we took a trip to the Waitomo Caves and then continued on to Auckland where we spent a day before flying back to the United States.
